Why You Should Market Your Service Business To Senior Citizen’s Facilities

Why You Should Market Your Service Business To Senior Citizen’s Facilities
by: Isaac Louie

Just about every service type business can benefit by marketing thier service to “Senior Citizen’s Homes”.  This is especially true when you are just starting out and your calendar is empty, or during your slow times. Now I’m not talking about marketing to the senior citizen’s directly, I’m talking about marketing to the facility that they live in.  There are three main types of facilities, Independant Living, Assisted Living, and Nursing.  Most service businesses will market to the first two, and some service business can market to the Nursing.

Here are some of the types of businesses successfully marketing thier services to these “Senior Citizen’s Homes”:  Musicians, Yoga Instructors, Photographers, Speakers, Hair/Beauty Stylists, Magicians, Clowns, scrapbooker’s, Cooks…and many more!

Almost every facility that has houses seniors has an “Activity Director”, who plans activitys daily for thier seniors.  They are always looking for things to bring in for thier seniors to do.

For example I know of a lady who runs a vintage/thrift store.  She brings down old clothes and puts on a fashion show with the seniors as the models.

There’s a photographer who goes in with her digital camera and takes portaits of the seniors and sells the pictures for several dollars.

Personally I am a magician, and usually I am brought in to do magic shows at “monthly birthday parties” for the seniors.

There’s a professional speaker that goes in and does a talk about getting scammed.  You always hear on the news about seniors getting scammed by the latest “too good to be true offer”.

Now keep in mind that many of these facilities are one a limited budget, so I don’t get my full fee when I do my show.  I discount my show for seniors during my slow times of year, and this helps keeps my schedule full year round and my bills paid.  In addition to money, you are also doing a good deed by marketing your service to seniors.

A great side bonus of marketing your service to seniors is that you get free exposure to people who are in a position to hire you at your full fee.  For example, lets say you are a photographer and you go in a do a great job taking pictures of the seniors.  You aren’t just being seen by the seniors, but the staff also sees you and knows what you do.  So if an employee is planning a wedding, or the facility is planning a corporate event…guess who they will call…You!

Another great thing about marketing to these facilities is that they are easy to find, just open up your yellow pages and start calling or mailing!

Training Seminar Tips and Tricks For Solutions Providers Part 2

Training Seminar Tips and Tricks For Solutions Providers Part 2
by: Joshua Feinberg

Training seminars are a savvy marketing strategy.  As a Solutions Provider they warrant serious consideration. Hosting a successful training seminar, however, requires a lot of work and planning.  Last time we talked about some ideas for getting the most out of your training seminars.  Here we present some more tips and tricks and some ideas on how to decide who to invite and how to invite them.  Make the content of the training seminar fun and entertaining.  Try to get the audience involved.  Ask questions, have people show their hands, have them volunteer information.  Use as many participative learning techniques as possible.

Provide a handout at the training seminar with your company information all over it.  Put some blanks the paper and have them fill in information as part of the participatory learning. This makes the attendees feel like they own the paper and are more likely to hold on to it.

Invite your best clients to the training seminars. This creates good will and chances are they will talk to other attendees about their experience with you.  You may even be able to incorporate a few testimonials into your training seminar presentation.

Practice your delivery.  If you are nervous about speaking, join Toastmasters and practice until you are comfortable leading a training seminar.  Whether delivering a seminar or not, the more comfortable you are making group presentations the more successful you will be in most of your marketing activities.

Generate demand for your own training seminars by speaking at other peoples’ events:  Speak at a Chamber of Commerce breakfast, participate at a Rotary meeting, get on a panel at a user group meeting, etc..

Ask your clients whether they know of people who would be interested in attending your training seminar.  These people will be predisposed to trusting you because they already know someone that you provide services to.

Invite everyone on your contact list to your training seminar. Use postcards, email, phone calls, etc…

Place inserts advertising your training seminar in newsletters that you send out.

Consider renting target lists for a direct mail campaign for your training seminar.

The Bottom Line on Training Seminars

Training seminars are a wonderful addition to your marketing strategy.  They are labor intensive and the first few can be a little intimidating.  If you keep your eye on the prize so to speak - the fact that training seminars reach more people and generate a lot of positive buzz, you should quickly conclude that the effort involved in putting on a training seminar more than pays for itself.

Roulette Game

Roulette Game
by: Mark Davies

When it comes to the most famous games in casino gambling, the roulette game is well among the top three along with Video Poker and Slots. So what makes this game favoured among the gambling masses? What makes it stand out?Roulette Game: An Overview

The roulette game has a nice, lenghty, and cozy history filled with mental pictures of men in tuxedo and well-dressed women. In Europe, it is a game associated with the civilized company since most of the players who employ in it are members of the high society. Today, any class of persons can log on and play online roulette games.

The motion of the roulette game is comparatively slow when compared to other types of casino games. not alike poker where the game requires crafty and calculated assessment, roulette relies heavily on chance and probability. However this does not mean that the roulette game is elementary for a little math is involved if you want to manage your odds well.

Roulette Game: How To Play

In roulette games, six to eight persons may employ one table which contains 38 numbers on its green felt arrangement. Roulette games depend upon a betting configuration exact to each table. So if you are playing at a $5-minimum table, then you are called for to post $5 if you bet even, odd, black, or red. Anyhow, if you want to go for an inside bet where you can bet for a definite number or a set of them, then you can divide your $5-bet and spread it on the numbers you are betting on.

Roulette games employ different set of chips that are specific to each table. This is to ensure that the dealer can ascertain the difference among the chips bet by each player. When you play the roulette game, your chips represent your bets and you may place these on either red, black, odd, even, or even a range of numbers from 1-18 to 19-36. You can place in as many bets as you want and as often as you want even when the roulette game wheel is at present beginning to spin. The only time where you are no longer allowed to place your bets is when the dealer yells, “No further bets.”

Roulette Game: How to Win

Winning in roulette games has more to do with chance than with anything else. The object of each roulette game is to predict where the ball would land when the wheel stops turning. The wheel used in roulette games include several slots or pockets which are colored either black or red and are categorized from 0 through 36. If ball rests on the number you bet for at the beginning of the game that means you have won.

About The Origin Of Bonsai
by: Patrick Desnoyers

Miniature trees are originally rooted in the mountains of China, where only a specific species of plants and trees grow. Because of its hostile weather conditions, the trees were often stunted and contorted. The strong mountain winds also left these trees twisted in ice and the cold. Essentially, it is nature that has rendered the inspiration for the art of potting trees as students of the art do their best to mimic what nature has created. By “training” trees through specialized means of pruning and shaping them to a desired height and structure, these students of the art were able to recreate the sample nature has provided.Bonsai, a Japanese term for “miniature potted trees”, actually originated from the Chinese. Called “pensai” in China, these miniature trees first appeared in artworks and poems in this Asian country in 200 B.C.  Early own, the mini-tree, or rather, the work of art, has already become a symbol of harmony and tranquility. Chinese Monks and the nobles or upper class, who appreciated the beauty and significance of plants and trees or nature in general, cultivated mini-landscapes of mountains, rivers and little tree houses placed on big plates. Sometime in the 15th or 16th century, this artistic hobby grew among the people of Southeast China. Many of them have become master designers and experts of the art of tree potting. What was first known as a hobby for Chinese artists, monks and nobles in those days became a significant part of modern day Japanese tradition.

How this came to Japan was made possible through the officials of the Japanese government, who often come to China at the height of the Tang Dynasty and have brought the art back home. During the Kamakura period, while Zen Buddhism was introduced in Japan, these Zen masters also introduced the hobby of tree potting to its people. As a result, it became widely popular among the wealthy class (daimyos or feudal lords), the merchants and even the Samurais. In addition to this, daimyos even sought pottery masters on their employ, to make one of kind pots for their miniature plants.

Initially popular among the Japanese priests, the ruling class and those on the upper hierarchy, Bonsai eventually reached popularity with the middle class.  As Japanese culture and their way of living dictates it, where the Japanese have always believed in keeping a harmonious relationship with their surroundings as beneficial, miniature gardening became one of Japan’s favorite pastimes. The fact that these potted trees took up just a small space inside the house was also compatible with how the Japanese lived. It was during these times too, that the word “bonsai” was coined.

Today, the art of Bonsai is still practiced in China. It is characteristically different from the Japanese versions as they are somewhat bigger than the popular Japanese Bonsai. And while thinking of potted trees, one easily attributes this to Japan, the hobby/art form appeals not only to the people of the East today, but students and enthusiasts all over the world have also become devotees to the art of tree potting.

Euro Millions Lottery – Massive Rollovers Generate Worldwide Interest

Euro Millions Lottery – Massive Rollovers Generate Worldwide Interest
by: Ken McLeod

Euro millions is a pan-european lottery that was initially launched on the 7th February 2004. It was devised and created by the company Camelot. On the evening of February 13th, 2004, the very first drawing took place in Paris. The first countries that started euro millions were Spain, France, and the United Kingdom. The success of the euro millions lottery was evident and inspired the additions of Austria, Belgium, Portugal, Switzerland, and Luxembourg.  They joined in October 8th 2004. Just 8 months after its creation. Euromillions has become the dominant lottery game in each of the respective countries it in which it is  affiliated. The drawings are held each friday evening. The drawings take place in Paris, France. The base ticket sales are €2 per individual play. Countries that don’t use the euro make the plays cost the rough relative equivalence in their own currency. In England a euro millions play would cost £1.50, and these prices are fixed rates per play. The jackpot is always provided by euromillions and the minor prizes are commonly given out by the local lottery companies that are affiliated with euromillions.

The euro millions lottery is played in a simple fashion. There are two sets of numbers, the main numbers and the lucky star numbers. Euromillions main numbers range from 1 to 50 and of these, 5 are picked. Out of the lucky star numbers there are two that are selected from one to nine as possible choices.

The chances of landing the jackpot are 1 in 76,275,360. Because of the high odds on winning the jackpot many people buy multiple tickets or join a lottery syndicate in order to decrease these odds and increase their winning chances. If there is no winner of the jackpot then the winnings are rolled over to the next week. On occasion the jackpot has rolled over to in excess of 70 million euros, which is approx £50 million pounds or $80 millions US dollars. These massive rollover jackpots have generated worldwide attention.

One aspect of the euro millions lottery that has created contension is a rule that has only recently been introduced this being the “roll back” - this rule applies when the jackpot has rolled over for 11 consective weeks with no jackpot winner. The effect of this is that on the final week, if there is again no jackpot winner, then the jackpot prize is awarded and shared with the next tier down i.e. those people that have correctly matched the 4 main numbers and 2 lucky star numbers. The reason for this is to prevent the jackpots from growing to astronomical proportions. This is in many ways better for the lottery player  as it means that on occasion when the “roll back” does occur players can get a share of the jackpot without having to get the 5 main and 2 lucky star numbers as is usually the situation. Therefore on a “roll back” week there is actually a better chance to win the jackpot.

The euromillions lottery has proven to be a mainstay and with the spreading influence of the euro it is growing faster than any other lottery in the world. With the massive rollover jackpots the euro millions draw has on offer it is sure to become increasingly popular attracting lottery players not just from within europe but from all corners of the world.

Basic Photography Tips from Photo Field Imaging

Basic Photography Tips from Photo Field Imaging
by: Stephen Cornfield - Photo Field Imaging

You found this articile because you are interested in photography or live in the Newmarket Ontario area, which is located just north of Toronto.  My name is Stephen Cornfield and I own a company called Photo Field Imaging (www.photofieldimaging.com).  We provide photographic as well as digital photo editing and digital scanning services (photographs, negative and slides).

As a photographer in Newmarket Ontario, I have found that no matter where you are, there is a seemingly endless amount of subjects to shoot.  All you have to do at times is to open your eyes and go find them.  Sometimes when I go out I do not know what I will find.  Often, though, I will have an idea of what I would like to shoot, but finding the exact subject and location for my idea do not always come together.

In the Newmarker area there are many outdoor places that can provide you with photographic opportunities.  Fairy Lake (my favourite) and the trial systems are just a couple.  You can also shoot indoors at “The Tannery” once a permit has been attained.

As you go around and talk to photographers you will find that some love landscapes, for others it is wildlife but for me it is people.  Does that mean that I do not occassionaly go and intentionally shoot landscapes or wildlife?  Of course I do, when the opportunity arises.  I love shooting people in both formal and informal settings.  By formal settings I mean for occassions when people are dressed up and are expecting to be posed or posing in certain ways (i.e. weddings).  Informal settings could be birthday partings, social get togethers, etc..

To me, when I am looking for a shooting location I am always thinking background, background, background.  What is in the background?  Will the background be a distraction in the photograph?  Will the background serve as simply background or a backdrop?  Is there garbage or other unwanted artifacts lying around?  Will the background add to or take away from the subject?  Trust me.  A background can either make or break a photograph.

The second thing that I look for is lighting.  What time of day is it?  Is the sun high in the sky?  Is it overcast (i.e. cloudy)?  Etc.  I personally love to shoot on overcast days, where the light is more diffused (i.e. no harsh shadows or “speckly” backgrounds).  If the light is harsh then I prefer to shoot in shady areas where the light can be more controlled.  If I am shooting a subject that is out in the open I try to make sure that the scene is not backlit.  If a scene is backlit it can make it very difficult to get proper exposure for the intented subject.

Last, but not least, is the subject.  Even a photo of my beautiful wife can turn out bad if the first two steps have not been completed properly.  When working with your subject some things to be considered are:  How is the subject posed?  How is their posture?  Are they sitting/standing straight or do they have rounded shoulders?  How are there hands positioned?  Are their hands simplying hanging like clumps of meat or are they doing something?  I personally like to have the guys with their hands behind their backs or one hand in their pocket with the other leaning or resting on someone or thing.

I believe that if you are mindful of these things, your photographic results will greatly improve.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or comments.

Finding an Online Art Gallery

Finding an Online Art Gallery
by: Morgan Hamilton

Are you an artist?  If so you may have began your art career in as someone that is commonly referred to as a “starving artist.” It can be difficult for an artist to get people interested enough in their work to want to purchase it.  It is very expensive to arrange for a gallery showing, but don’t despair, there is a viable alternative known as an online art gallery. An online art gallery is exactly what it sounds like. It’s a website that features art. But better yet, this can be a web site featuring YOUR art.  The art is photographed and displayed on the website. Often times an online art gallery will feature the work of several artists at once.  If you are not a web designer, or our computer illiterate, don’t despair.  You can always hire someone to do the work for you.

Of course you can also join an online art gallery where there are many artists featured in and the actual management of the web site is the responsibility of someone other than you.  One of the ways that an online art gallery makes money is by commissioning the work of the artists. An agreement is entered into that states that any piece that is sold through the online art gallery is subject to a fee.  The fee will then be deducted from the sale of the featured artwork that was sold.

This type of arrangement works well for the artist as it allows them to showcase their work to a broad audience without the expense that can be associated with that. The Online art gallery basically is supported by the commission’s decrease the for the work sold through the site.

Not all online art galleries work with this type of system in place.  Some will forgo a commission and simply charge a one-time, upfront fee.  It is almost like a landlord, tenant arrangement. The site owner is allowing the artist to use their bandwidth space to show their work and therefore a fee is fair and justified.  As I stated before, there are no commissions involved in in this type of arrangement. It is yet another option, and a very viable one at that.

One of the benefits of utilizing the services of an online art gallery is that for the price the artist is receiving some promotion as well.  Exposure is key to the success of any artist.  If no one’s future work, then you don’t exist.

An online art gallery also makes money when people visit the site and purchase from it. Therefore they are always working hard at promoting their virtual space and their very real artists. For the artists whose work is visible on the site, this means more exposure which can translate to more sales.  It’s all about getting your product in front of interested parties.

Not every online art gallery features the work of up and coming artists.  There are many that will be focused strictly on the well-known, celebrated artists. This type of gallery allows individuals who are interested in art the chance to see it online.  Unfortunately, not all people who have resources and ability to visit the great galleries of world. Being able to see world class art online is a luxury that many people really appreciate.  It is yet another wonderful way in which the Internet and enriches our lives.

Whether you are an artist or an art connoisseur I encourage you to look over for various works that you can find on an online art gallery.  Out that you’ll see some things there that will really pique your interest.

The Ultimate Keys to Success!

The Ultimate Keys to Success!
by: Cedric Licuanan

There are only 4 steps to fulfilling happiness and success.1) Specialized Education and Knowledge

The first step is to acquire specialized education, knowledge, and training in the field that you intend to succeed.

LEARN TO SUCCEED.

In other words, you must LEARN first, in order to SUCCEED next. Your mind and knowledge must ALWAYS grow upwards. Once we stop learning, we die mentally.

Someone tells you to build a house. So what do you do? Where do you start? The mentality of an unsuccessful person might cause them to respond, ‘I can’t build a house, I’ve never done it before, and I don’t know how.’

However, the mentality of a successful person will cause them to respond, ‘How can I build this house? Although I’ve never done it before, where can I start learning how?’

It all boils down to an extremely powerful 3-word question:

‘HOW CAN I?’

Basically, a successful person will find a way to ‘Figure it out.’ He or she will do what it takes to acquire the specialized education and knowledge used in the house building and construction industry, and figure out, ‘How can I?’

The successful person will also leverage his or her time by tapping into the knowledge of other successful people in the industry, hopefully experts in the house construction field. They say, ‘No man is an island’, or ‘Two heads are better than one.’

As the successful person works on acquiring the assistance of other successful people, the otherwise daunting task of building and constructing a house is well on its way, while the unsuccessful person didn’t even get the task off the ground.

Quite a difference that three-word question makes, doesn’t it?

Not ‘I CAN’T!’, but instead ‘HOW CAN I?’

‘Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire.’ -W. B. Yeats

‘The beautiful thing about learning is that no one can take it away from you.’ - B.B. King

‘Education’s purpose is to replace an empty mind with an open one.’ - Malcolm Forbes

2) Specific Goals

The second step is to commit to specific, attainable, time-bound goals. As soon as you commit to your goals, it is important to simply share your goals with a supportive loved one.

Everybody talks about goals, and goal setting. There is an incredible amount of material on the purpose and reasoning for setting goals. There is just a tremendous amount of information available about goals, but the most important ideas that stand are as follows:

SMART’

Specific: Your goals must not be too general, and broad. Make your goals laser targeted and targeted.

Measurable: Your goals should be able to be benchmarked and calculated.

Attainable: Your goals should be obtainable and achievable within reason.

Reasonable: Your goals should be appropriate and consistent with the future that you have planned.

Time-Bound: Your goals should have a deadline - not just ‘whenever I feel like it’.

You MUST have a burning desire in order to successfully attain your goals. Too many people have shortchanged themselves and their lives by setting goals for themselves, and not following through with those goals. That ‘burning desire’ does not seem to exist for certain goals that we set in our lives, heck I’m guilty of that same sin! However, with a strong burning desire, anybody could accomplish any goal that they set their mind’s to.

No more excuses! ‘If it has to be, it is up to me’. You have to take ownership and responsibility for your life. You have to stop the Blame Game.

The two main obstacles to setting goals is your personal Fear and Doubt. You may fear that you may fail, and therefore doubt that you could overcome these obstacles towards success.

F.E.A.R. = False Evidence Appearing Real. Doubt is the EXACT opposite of faith.

Avoid these 2 obstacles AT ALL COSTS!

Write down your Goals on Paper! ‘I will…..’ Always have your SMACT goals written down, easily viewable every single day. Review them first thing in the morning, during the day, and finally right before you go to bed.

Review your goals daily!

‘Repetition is the Mother of Skill’. The repetition that gets accomplished when you focus on your goals every single day is incredibly powerful.

Use Visualization!

Always close your eyes and picture yourself actually achieving your goals. Picture the reward that you will receive as well as do everything that you can to pretend to ‘feel’ that incredible sense of accomplishment. Try to mentally connect that feeling with a sense of accomplishment of the past.

‘What you get by achieving your goals is not as important as what you become by achieving your goals.’ -Zig Ziglar

‘When we are motivated by goals that have deep meaning, by dreams that need completion, by pure love that needs expressing — then we truly live life.’ -Greg Anderson

‘You control your future, your destiny. What you think about comes about. By recording your dreams and goals on paper, you set in motion the process of becoming the person you most want to be.’ -Mark Victor Hansen

3) Focused Persistent Planned Action

The third step is to set up an action plan with FOCUSED PERSISTENT ACTION towards your goals. ‘Plan your work, and then work your plan’. Start out with baby steps at first, then work your way up to large strides. Everyone starts somewhere!

The single most characteristic that is DIRECTLY related to success is Persistence. The ability to continue moving forward regardless of the obstacles placed in front of you is the essence of the characteristic of Persistence.

Every person has a limit to how much resistance they could handle before giving up, and the main difference between the successful and the unsuccessful is the amount of resistance that a person is willing to endure.

If Persistence is the number one action taken towards extreme success, the unfortunate action of giving up too quickly is the number one reason for dramatic failure. For example, imagine yourself taking part in a long-distance run in your city. At the very first sign of fatigue, you have 2 simple decisions: 1) You give up and stop now 2) You persist and continue forward.

If you chose the first decision…..well, there’s not much to be said about this first decision. If you did not finish the race, then unfortunately you have to chalk this one up as a failure.

However, if you chose the second decision, your chances for success just dramatically increased.

MA=MR MASSIVE ACTION = MASSIVE RESULTS

‘The race goes not always to the swift, but to those who keep on running.’ -Anonymous

‘Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all.’ -Dale Carnegie

‘Many of life’s failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.’ -Thomas Alva Edison

4) Excellence

The final step is to do what you do extremely WELL. If you are going invest the time and effort taking action towards your goals, you might as well try to be good at what you do. Heck, why not become an expert at it also? When a person stands out in the crowd as well-known ‘expert’, AMAZING things happen in their lives!

Being able to excel at something is usually due to either progressive repetition, or pure talent.

When a person starts to succeeding in business, she notices that if all she did was focus on the characteristic of Excellence, she would succeed indefinitely.

Whenever she found herself having some down time: Waiting in line, waiting for the movie to start, commercial breaks on TV, etc. She would simply take out my wallet and read this document. This tiny act would literally take only 20 seconds, but it helped her TREMENDOUSLY. When your brain and mind gets exposed to positive messages repetitively, eventually the message sinks in. You want to have this ‘Excellence Mindset’ in all that you do. You want to be able to be able to excel and succeed in all the tasks of a successful person.

Become an Expert It is VERY important to ‘become the Expert’ in your particular industry. You want to be able set up a reputation for yourself as the ‘go to’ person. In other words, other people in your chosen industry always seem to turn to you with their questions and concerns, etc.

‘Excellence is the result of caring more than others think is wise; risking more than others think is safe. Dreaming more than others think is practical and expecting more than others think is possible.’ -Anonymous

‘Excellence is never an accident: it is the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction, skillful execution and the vision to see obstacles as opportunities.’ -Unkown

‘Excellence is the gradual result of always striving to do better.’ -Pat Riley

In Summary, 1) Do everything you can to attain the specialized education and knowledge in your field 2) Set specific goals and timelines 3) Put your goals and plans into PERSISTENT ACTION and finally 4) Do what you can to EXCEL in your activities!

Utilize the 4 Ultimate Keys to Success in ALL your endeavors, and get ready for an incredible ride in the months and years ahead!

The Importance of Clothing Donations

The Importance of Clothing Donations
by: Morgan Hamilton

There are many ways to donate used clothings to charitable organizations so you can actually make a profound improvement on some individuals well-being. The United Way, the Salvation Army, and Goodwill are the leading organizations that specialize in donating clothing for the needy, so that you can let yourself up of clothes that you no longer were but can they used to to help others. These organizations are designed to make it quite convenient for you to donate your clothing, and you also get the added benefit of being able to ride out who donated clothing as a tax deduction. Of course, the tax deductions are very small, so maybe you who don’t even care about the few measly dollars that you get.  Certainly, that’s up to you.

Clothing donations for me go a little bit differently than the average American. I live in Berkeley, California, where there are many things called free boxes available for public use.  The paybacks is a container that was created exclusively for people to put items in when I want to make a donation.  But as it turns out to, it is used almost exclusively for clothing.

Then, people in the neighborhood can come by the free box anytime they want and pick through it to choose which clothing donations they would like to take for themselves, of course with the stipulation that they actually need them. In many neighborhoods, particularly the ones with lots of homeless students, homeless people, or both, you can even put to close out on the curb and be picked up there. People will stop by and grab whatever they need, and sometimes the clothes are snapped up in minutes, and if the clothing is of good quality and the least bit stylish, well that’s all the better isn’t it?  very little will go to waste.

I still believe the best place to drop off clothing donations is Good will or the Salvation Army. They are the established in purveyors of such needs and is well known that they are the distributors that people are well aware.  Thrift stores are becoming increasingly more popular these days for whatever reasons and these non-profit organizations have the wherewithal to use almost all of the donated clothing that they receive, since there’s such a great need, it’s a really good possibility that the clothes will be used. Of course, sometimes it is best to put your clothing donations in a free box. After all, the free box is free – and don’t forget that in many cases they really are utilized by those who are in genuine need.

Connecting With The Other Side

Connecting With The Other Side
by: Bobby Marchesso

In my previous article we talk about finding your psychic talent and strengths. This is a very important step of course but only second to acknowledgement. You must acknowledge that certain information is coming to you from another source. This could be a higher source such as God, Angels and Spirit Guides or your higher self. Most people continue to “shake it off” or convince themselves that it was just their imagination or something to do with the weather. There is quite a bit more that we could talk about of recognizing the information that you receive but we’ll save that for another time.So back to finding what specific talent your gifted at. Now I refer to this as a talent but that is just for argument sake. You can call this what you wish, talent, gift ability. I don’t necessarily look at this as a “gift” because I believe that everyone possesses this ability, it’s just a matter of uncovering it.

I for one do not believe in coincidence. I believe that everything not only happens for a reason but they can also be used as teaching tools. These little moments of awareness can be so vital in discovering signs and messages from our Guides. So let’s say that you are called to jury duty and you are sitting next to someone who is a piano teacher and you are looking for one for your kids.

You just happen to be in the right place at the right time. This is one of your gifts. Have you ever thought about one of your friends that you haven’t heard from in a while, and then out of the blue, they call? Guess what?… that’s right…it’s an ability. You just need to understand it more and work with it.

The way that I communicate with Guides and loved ones comes in 3 forms. Seeing, hearing and feeling. Picture your kitchen back at home…seeing it in your minds eye. That is how I use my psychic vision. For me hearing is like my reading voice. Or if you are singing a song in your head. For me it’s the wiggles. My 2 year old daughter watches them all the time and we have the DVD and I can’t Big Red Car out of my head!

Feeling is self explanatory…you just feel what others are putting out. We all do this when we have someone that we care about who is feeling depressed and we ten to take that on as our own. Sometimes we associate that it is not coming from us and other times we can’t seem to figure out why we are all the sudden aggravated or feeling sad. That is empathy and yet another article.

So find your gift, talent, ability and then practice. Practice a lot. What you want out of this is exactly what you put into it. If you are going to learn to play soccer, how proficient do you want to be at it? How you exercise your psychic muscle will determine how clearly you feel, see and hear.
